• Born and raised in Hong Kong, come to the US in the 1990s.
• Research interest : Database managment systems, multimedia indexing, data mining, web information systems.

My research interests

• Database indexing: high-dimensional indexing, indexing for nearest neighbor problems, indexing for reverse nearest neighbor problems.
• Data mining in general. In practicular:
  • Clustering : text, image or general clustering
  • Data reduction and transformation
  • Mining time series
  • Applying data mining techniques.
• Web information systems. The deep web.
