Artificial Life, Autonomous Agents

Number 2 is my first foray into the emerging field of artificial life. Number 3, is a tour of mechanisms of mind, that is of autonomous agents. In progress since Summer of 1991, it has spawned a sabbatical leave, a faculty research grant, a new course, and four dissertation projects. Number 4 is my first software agent paper. Number 5 kicked off a panel discussion on What is an Agent? at the ATAL'96 workshop in Budapest. Number 9 resulted from a panel discussion during a conference in Coventry, England. Number 10 is a commentary on a paper of Baars.
