Education
Ph.D.
2002, University
of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign. Thesis advisors: Donald Burkholder and Marius Junge.
M.S. 1997, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Diploma in Mathematics 1993, University
of Bucharest.
My main mathematical interests are in the fields of noncommutative probability,
von Neumann algebras and operator spaces, with a focus on noncommutative
Lp-spaces and inequalities for noncommutative martingales. I am also very
interested and have carried out research in classical potential theory.
